How to make private folders in windows xp

You have some confidencial stuff in your pc and dont want to share with others, then create a new folder and move your files to that new folder and make it private.  All you have to do is

  • Open ( Double click on) my computer.
  • Open c drive (or open where you installed Windows, usually people use to install in drive c).
  • If you find that drive empty, Click on Show Hidden files or Show Content under your system drive.
  • Now go to Documents and settings folder.
  • Double click the User folder.
  • Then click on Sharing tabs and make it private.

Now Your files are safe somewhere on your computer. If you want that private folder as accesseable to everyone , Then follow same steps and uncheck the make the folders private.
